I had this dream last night, and it inspired me to write this...


There once was a man and his son, they would do everything together, and whatever the dad did, the son copied him. One day they were playing a game together, and the dad was having alot of fun with his child.
Then, about a year later, the son was about 3 years old, his little sister was 1 year old, and he wouldn't sleep in his own bed. He fell asleep exhausted from his dad throwing him in the air and catching him. His mom even had to sleep on the couch because him and his dad were taking up the bed.
1 year later, the family got a computer, I believe, and also the son had another brother there for him too. The son's dad and the son were playing games on the computer which was a really old one. The son loved his dad so much, that he thought he would never dislike him at all.
2 years later, the son had yet another brother to play with, although the son was 6 by then. The son missed his dad whenever he left on a hunting trip, and wished he could go too. He loved his new house, it was alot bigger than his old house. Him and his dad would have alot of great, but sometimes sad, experiences in the new house. They would snowmobile in the nearby field, the son would experience his first 4 day hunting trip while living in that house, and the family's beloved dog would die from cancer at the house.
When the son turned 7, he went to the school 3 blocks away from the house. He liked the new school, and made many friends there, one of which would be his best friend for many many years, possibly forever. He also had another sister that year, he had so much fun playing with her and protecting her. And he thought life was just wonderful.
About 2 years later, they moved into a bigger and funner house. In this house, the son got a video camera, which he documented many hours of his life there on. Him and his dad were still as close as ever, and the son loved his dad alot (Don't get me wrong, he loved his mom just as much, but that isn't the sad part of the story). All of the christmas', halloween's, easter's, 4th of july's, birthday's, vacation's, trips to Papa and Grandma's house, and other holiday's had made great memories for the son.
About a year later, an event happened that made the son devastated, his parents announced their divorce, which, at the time, the son felt no good could come of. The son went into a stage where he felt no emotions, unless the emotion was a sad one.
A few months later, the 5 kids were staying at their aunt's house, seeing their parents only a few times a week. The son was, by then, accepting of his parents decision. He realized that his parents seemed to be happier, and they didn't fight even once afterwards. His mom met some weird guy with a bratty son that got away with everything. His dad met some witch-like women with 2 kids, one of which he liked, while the other one was his way to take out his anger. They were ages 11 and 14, and the one he liked was 14, he was somewhat of a role model to the son. He felt tortured with all of the changes going on.
Eventually, the son's mom decided to leave the weird guy, for reasons the son didn't know, to a guy who I was told was a nice guy. All of us kids went to this other guy's house and we found out that he was really nice and alot better than anyone we could think of. Meanwhile, the boy's dad was still with the evil witch that turned the son into a person that is happy to get bread for dinner on weekends. Although the older son of the witch spent alot of money to sneak the son food whenever he was hungry, the son realized that his dad had changed. Dramatically. Instead of playing with him or even talking to him, the dad was whipped by the evil witch, if she wanted a pop, the dad would drive 13 miles to get her one, if she wanted to have one of the 5 kids punished, the dad would punish them, whether they did it or not.
A couple years later, when the son was 12, many things happened. The son's grandfather died of alzheimers, emotionally scarring the son for years to come, the dad broke up with the evil witch, destroying a garbage can on the way out, and taking his pet dog, a new one, with him, and the 5 kids moved into a new house with their mom and step-dad. The son felt like toilet paper holding two huge falling trees together, he was about to snap, mainly because he loved his grandpa ALOT. All of that trauma to the mind had done him no good.
The next 4 months his dad went back to his normal ways, having fun with the kids, taking them on rides, going on trips, and treating them like how he used to. And also, the son's mom had a baby, which the son loved very much, and then he realized that he didn't want his parents to get back together, he wanted his dad to stay the way he was, when he was being nice. But of course, at the end of the 4 months, something even worse than the evil witch had entered the son's life, a nasty slime. This slime had 4 slime-spawns, all of which got 40 times the amount of attention than all of the 5 kids got combined from the dad. To the son, the world had practically ended, this slime would control his dad into doing things like punishing the children for things that the slime-spawns would do.
The son, about 8 months later, took up a babysitting job for the aforementioned aunt. Although this was a smart idea, considering he would never have to go to his dad's house again, he was merely running away from the problem, not solving it. He started doing anything he could to get his dad's attention, but his dad was totally oblivious to anything he did. The son felt like his relationship with his dad had taken a nose dive and would almost never come back.
So after the son turned 14 years old, although he didn't want to, he never stayed at the dad's house again, even though it was still running away from the problem, at least then he would remember his dad as what he was when he was younger, a great dad, and a nice person. At least, that is what he wanted to do, until his 12 year old sister had mentioned that the father had asked her if he should marry the slime, that was when the son had a thought, "Maybe if he asked her if he should marry the slime, he might ask me, and then I can tell him the truth about what I think is happening, which is that if he gets married to that slime, he will never see his son over at any of his houses again, because I will stay at my mom's house, at least there I am with somebody that loves me." and as he thought that, he truly meant it, because it is better to not see your dad but think he loves you, than to be with your dad and see him treat you like you are invisible.

And although most of the people reading this already knew the son was me, some of you might not have.
